Cryptocurrency wallets- This is a type of wallet that stores private and public keys that help to buy, and sell cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, ethereum. Transactions are secure and it is digitally signed.
Software - It is also known as a hot wallet connected to the internet.
Hardware - It stores the key in an external device such as a USB or Bluetooth. They are more secure as it is tough to hack and less prone to malicious attack.
Paper wallet - It is an offline way of storing private and public keys.
Software wallets are of three types
Mobile -A mobile app that stores private keys and allows users to receive and send crypto.
Desktop- The public and private keys are stored securely on a computer hard drive. It is usually noncustodial and funds can be sent and received only by end users. Examples Guarda, electrum.
Online - They are custodial and exist only online. It is controlled by crypto exchanges such as Binance.
