Bombardier President and CEO Éric Martel said U.S. trade risk had eased, a shift relevant to the Canadian aircraft maker after a threat to bar its jets from the U.S. market.

Martel made the assessment on Bombardier’s Nov. 5 earnings call. Reuters reported that he linked the lower risk to the aerospace industry’s success in avoiding tariffs, rather than the U.S. midterm elections. Reuters also reported that President Donald Trump withdrew the threat to block Bombardier aircraft from the U.S. market.

The call followed Bombardier’s third-quarter results and an increase to its 2026 free cash flow target. EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of the results includes the financial details.
