Bulgaria’s Postbank plans to add investing to its mobile app in early 2027, bringing access to shares, funds and other assets into its digital banking service.

Eurobank Bulgaria AD operates as Postbank. In its Oct. 15 announcement, the bank said the planned selection would include shares in thousands of international companies and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), along with crypto assets, commodities, gold and other metals. Postbank says customers will be able to start with small amounts, with fractional purchases available for selected assets.

The bank said it would provide the service through an international investment platform but did not identify the provider. Postbank has set an early-2027 launch window without giving a specific date.

The Bulgarian National Bank’s June 30, 2026, distribution listed Eurobank Bulgaria fourth among the country’s five banks with the largest total assets.

Postbank also reported growth in use of its app during the first nine months of 2026. Payment volumes rose 71% year over year, the number of payments increased nearly 47%, and active mobile-banking users grew 32%.

The bank said the investment feature is part of a broader effort to add personal-finance management tools to the app. Its announcement gave early 2027 as the expected launch period.
