Burger King Launches $5 Value Meal to Compete Amid Rising Living Costs and Decreased Takeaway Orders
People are choosing to cook their own meals instead of ordering takeaway from fast food joints, according to the ever-increasing prices of living. So, they've had to adjust and start running sales to bring in business, as per Dexerto.
As an example, there is Burger King. "Regardless of their plans, we are moving full speed ahead with our own plans to launch our own $5 value meal before McDonald's do — and run it for several months," Burger King's US and Canada President Tom Curtis declared in an internal document acquired by Bloomberg.
The new lunch package will include three sandwiches, nuggets, fries, and a drink as options for customers. Right now, you can get the bargain in the US.
In honor of its birthday, Burger King plans to host several sales events.
We don't know what's in the $5 lunch package McDonald's plans to release, but it will be available. Even though Burger King was faster in the race, the Big Mac establishment still had time to reconsider its strategy.
