The Canadian Space Agency has scheduled an Oct. 30 press conference with astronaut Joshua Kutryk, giving journalists a chance to hear about his first spacewalk from the International Space Station.

The agency identifies Kutryk as its fifth astronaut to conduct a spacewalk, meaning four Canadian Space Agency astronauts had done so before him.

Eleanor Olszewski, Canada's minister for emergency management and community resilience and the minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada, will participate. Canadian Space Agency astronaut David Saint-Jacques will host the event.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. ET at the John H. Chapman Space Centre in Longueuil, Quebec, with a video connection to Kutryk at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Remote journalists must register with the agency's Media Relations Office to receive a Teams link and instructions. Registered journalists may submit one written question, the agency said.
