Jill McKnight, Canada’s Minister of Veterans Affairs, is also Associate Minister of National Defence and will announce an initiative aimed at veteran employment at a Victoria chamber convention Thursday, Veterans Affairs Canada said.
The event is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC) Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, at Carson Hall C in the Victoria Conference Centre. It coincides with the chamber’s convention and annual general meeting.
Matthew Holmes, the chamber’s “Executive Vice-President, International and Chief of Public Policy,” is scheduled to join McKnight for a fireside discussion. The advisory did not describe the initiative further.
