The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) will begin a hearing Nov. 3 on Cameco Corporation’s request for a 20-year license renewal at the Port Hope Conversion Facility in Ontario.

The Commission's schedule runs through Nov. 5 and lists a start time of 9 ET. The public may attend at the Town Park Recreation Centre, 62 McCaul Street, in Port Hope, or watch a livestream on the Commission's website.

Cameco, intervenors and Commission staff are due to make presentations during the proceedings. The Commission will consider Cameco's application to renew the facility's operating license for the proposed 20-year term.
