Cardano (ADA) hovered near $0.22 on Oct. 17 after co-founder Charles Hoskinson teased a new Midnight concept, though he disclosed no details that would clarify its scope or timing.
At 8:01 a.m. EDT, ChartExchange’s composite ADA/USD feed showed ADA at $0.22267, down 3.976% over 24 hours. CoinGecko’s UTC price history lists an Oct. 16 close of $0.225505, compared with $0.2279 on Sept. 19. The Oct. 17 price was an intraday reading, not a completed daily close.
In an Oct. 17 post on X, Hoskinson said he had almost finished designing the concept and called it the “magnum opus” of his career. He did not identify a product or give a release date.
Midnight’s documentation describes it as a Cardano partner chain for programmable privacy. Applications can use zero-knowledge proofs to validate claims without exposing all underlying information, while selective disclosure limits what they share.
CoinGape’s chart analysis characterized $0.20 as psychological support and identified $0.17 as a possible lower level if ADA falls below it. Those are the outlet’s technical interpretations; neither level is an official or exchange-defined price floor.
