The Cardano Foundation has entered into a strategic partnership with Petrobras, Brazil's state-owned oil company, to enhance blockchain education and explore the potential use cases of this revolutionary technology in the energy sector.
Educational Workshops Empowering Petrobras Employees
As part of this collaboration, the Cardano Foundation will conduct blockchain education workshops for Petrobras' extensive workforce of 45,000 employees, according to Cointelegraph. The workshops will be facilitated through Cardano Academy, with the educational content available via Petrobras University.
Yahoo reported that this initiative aims to equip Petrobras employees with the knowledge and skills to effectively leverage blockchain technology.
With Petrobras being the largest corporation in Brazil and South America, boasting impressive revenues of $124.7 billion in 2022, this partnership holds immense potential for revolutionizing the energy sector. The educational program will encompass various blockchain applications and use cases, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the technology's possibilities.
Exploring Blockchain Regulations and its Global Impact
To mark the program's launch, the Cardano Foundation organized two workshops within the metaverse, focusing on blockchain regulations in Brazil and across the globe. This demonstrates the Foundation's commitment to fostering a global dialogue on blockchain regulations and promoting a favorable regulatory environment for its adoption.
Frederik Gregaard, CEO of the Cardano Foundation, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Petrobras. He emphasized that this collaboration with a Fortune 500 company highlights the growing interest in blockchain education within the enterprise community. Furthermore, this collaboration underscores the expanding influence of the Cardano Foundation and its overarching mission.
Certification and NFTs Rewarding Participants
Upon completing the blockchain training program, participants will receive a prestigious certification. The first 500 attendees will also be rewarded with unique nonfungible tokens (NFTs) created with the Petrobras Education Board. These NFTs will dynamically evolve to reflect the progress and milestones achieved by each individual, serving as a digital testament to their accomplishments.
This partnership with Petrobras perfectly complements Cardano's strategic roadmap outlined in 2021. A key objective for the next five years is to establish more robust relationships with Fortune 500 companies, foster increased on-chain activity diversity, and expand blockchain use cases across industries.
