Cardano’s Dijkstra Testnet Awaits Node 11.2.0 Prerelease

The public testnet remains on Conway protocol version 11. Moving to version 12 requires a hard-fork initiation action, and no transition date is listed.

Cardano’s Dijkstra testnet remains on Conway protocol version 11, with a node 11.2.0 prerelease and hard-fork initiation action still ahead of its planned move to version 12.

As of Oct. 24, the Cardano Operations Book showed the testnet running Conway protocol version 11 and listed node 11.1.3 as compatible. The book describes a configuration change before the protocol shift but does not date the planned transition.

Intersect announced Oct. 23 that public testing was open. The test environment gives operators a place to prepare for the upgrade, as EconoTimes reported when the Dijkstra testnet opened.

Musashi is the venue for separate Linear Leios testing, Intersect said in an Oct. 17 update. Intersect’s Oct. 9 update said node 11.2 would cover Dijkstra alone, with Linear Leios slated for a later node 11.3 hard-fork candidate.

The next software milestone is a node 11.2.0 prerelease, followed by the hard-fork initiation action before the testnet changes protocol versions. The Operations Book gives no date for the prerelease, and neither it nor Intersect lists a date for the transition.
