Cboe Global Markets will appoint Catherine Grover to oversee its global human resources function on Nov. 16, adding a longtime PNC executive as the exchange operator pursues growth. The company announced the appointment Friday, Oct. 16.
Grover will work from Chicago and report to CEO Craig Donohue. Cboe said her remit includes coordinating workforce and organizational planning as the company advances its growth priorities.
At PNC Financial Services Group, Cboe said Grover’s work included hiring, development and enablement initiatives within the bank’s broader talent strategy. Her HR Business Partner teams supported approximately 55,000 employees, and she advised senior leaders. She spent more than 29 years at PNC in human resources and business roles; her most recent position was executive vice president of human resources.
Donohue linked the appointment to Cboe’s growth and investment plans, saying the company would need to attract, develop and retain employees. “The opportunities ahead are significant,” he said. Grover described Cboe as having “a strong business” and “a clear strategic focus.”
Cboe runs markets in derivatives, equities and foreign exchange, and provides trading, clearing and investment solutions. The company dates its listed-options business to 1973, when it says it introduced the first exchange-based venue for those contracts. Grover is due to take up the post Nov. 16.
