A public conference schedule offered no link between Century Aluminum Company and a planned investor presentation, even as the aluminum producer’s stock rose roughly 4% in the Oct. 21 morning session.

The J.P. Morgan / Robin Hood Investors Conference schedule gave Greenlight Capital President David Einhorn a “Best Idea” slot at 10:05 a.m. ET (14:05 UTC). The event barred press attendance, and the public listing did not say whether the presentation concerned Century Aluminum.

Century Aluminum produces primary aluminum and has smelters in the United States and Iceland. Jamalco’s Jamaican business includes a bauxite mine and an alumina refinery; Century Aluminum holds a 55% interest in it.
