Chime Financial, Inc. reported third-quarter net income of $43.7 million as revenue climbed 32% year over year to $718 million, while the company lifted its fourth-quarter and full-year forecasts.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, net income compared with a $54.7 million loss in the same period a year earlier. Chime said it posted positive income under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for a third consecutive quarter. Revenue growth was faster than the 27% year-over-year increase in the second quarter.
Platform-related revenue rose 52% to $274 million. Chime said MyPay and Instant Loans continued to scale, supporting the increase. Payments revenue grew 22% to $444 million. Active members increased 20% from a year earlier to 10.9 million.
For the fourth quarter, Chime forecast revenue of $757 million to $767 million and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $161 million to $166 million. Adjusted EBITDA is a non-GAAP measure that the company reports separately from net income.
For 2026, Chime expects revenue of $2.792 billion to $2.802 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $519 million to $524 million. The company said the higher outlook reflects what it described as structural improvement in growth and profitability.
Chime issued its Nov. 4 earnings release and furnished it as Exhibit 99.1 to a Form 8-K. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) index lists the filing under disclosures on operating results and financial condition, as well as financial statements and exhibits. Chime said its pending acquisition of Stride Bank was expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to approvals and closing conditions.
