China’s search engine giant Baidu has launched its first native blockchain-based knowledge quiz application, according to China Money Network.
Called ‘Duyuzhou,’ which stands for ‘Du Universe,’ the app will create a digital universe comprising of elements, gravitation, and planets. Users would be able to obtain these elements by participating in the knowledge quiz and would also be incentivized to create and expand their own planets.
The core element of incentives for users will be a “Duyuzhou token,” which Baidu said it will issue in order to create a knowledge community. In addition, each user will get an incentive of 100 “elements” on the first day of the release of Duyuzhou, and this free incentive will decrease over time.
The app has a “Quiz” part which will allow users to participate in various activities. On Thursday, the World Cup quiz activities were launched in the app, which is particularly aimed at football fans.
Currently, Duyuzhou is hiring content producers, who will get better incentives for joining the program earlier. The app will open up third-party developer platforms in the future to introduce more applications and games to users.
According to the report, the project will update once in every two weeks. Baidu is planning to add more features to the games.
