Cipla Limited shares rose 0.49% Friday, Nov. 6, trailing the Nifty 50’s 2.01% advance; the company’s latest results also showed lower year-over-year revenue and profit attributable to owners.
National Stock Exchange of India data put Cipla’s close at ₹1,411, ₹6.90 above its previous finish of ₹1,404.10. The Nifty 50 ended at 25,030.35, up 493.75 points. Cipla opened at ₹1,387 and traded between ₹1,382 and ₹1,411, with volume of 15.67 lakh shares.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, Cipla’s unaudited consolidated results showed revenue from operations of ₹7,403.93 crore, compared with ₹7,589.44 crore a year earlier. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was ₹877.54 crore, down from ₹1,351.17 crore.
The revenue comparison reflects an accounting presentation change. Since April 1, 2026, Cipla has deducted some marketing and promotional expenses from operating revenue; those costs were included in other expenses in the year-earlier period. Cipla said the change affected presentation only and left profit, earnings per share, total equity and cash flows unchanged. EconoTimes previously covered the September-quarter results and FY27 margin target.
