Anthropic says Claude Duet’s periodic reviews of connected accounts draw on subscribers’ regular plan allowance, tying background monitoring to the capacity available for ordinary Claude conversations.

Duet reviews connected accounts every few hours, Anthropic said. The company says reducing the time between reviews would use subscribers’ allowance more quickly. More demanding assignments also require additional model turns and processing, reducing the capacity available for routine chats.

Anthropic says Duet can draft email responses, pick up unfinished tasks, provide a morning briefing and alert users when a task is complete or it needs their input. The research preview was announced Oct. 21 and is available through a waitlist to Pro and Max subscribers in the United States. EconoTimes previously covered the U.S. preview rollout.
