Clearpool, which operates an Ethereum-based credit marketplace, is targeting a fourth-quarter CPOOL-to-CLEAR migration after its Oct. 5 vote, changing token allocations as it plans institutional lending on the XRP Ledger.

Clearpool said 97.16% of votes supported the proposal. Each CPOOL token would convert into one CLEAR, and the company has added a conversion page. The token migration remains planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.

The proposal calls for 1.125 billion CLEAR in circulation at migration. Existing CPOOL holders would receive 1 billion through the conversion, while 125 million newly unlocked tokens would account for the rest. The converted tokens represent 70% of the planned total CLEAR allocation.

Of that planned total, Clearpool allocates 15% to its treasury and partnerships, 10% to ecosystem incentives and 5% to contributors. Clearpool said its growth reserves had been depleted, prompting the additional issuance. The one-for-one swap would preserve holders’ token counts while giving them 70% of the planned total allocation.

Scheduled unlocks would bring circulation to about 1.429 billion CLEAR by year three. That figure excludes any additional tokens issued under a provision allowing potential annual issuance of 1% to 4%. The proposal also directs 50% of protocol fees toward open-market CLEAR purchases; those tokens would be permanently removed from circulation.

Under the XRP Ledger lending plan, Clearpool would provide the infrastructure and Cicada Partners would select and monitor borrowers. Ripple would supply capital as a limited partner but would not guarantee losses, according to Clearpool’s proposal. Loans to fintech and payments companies would be issued and repaid in Ripple USD (RLUSD).

Clearpool’s website still lists XRP Ledger lending as coming soon, and the company has given no firm launch date. The ledger’s proposed lending and vault features require protocol amendments to be approved and activated. The next stated milestone for Clearpool is the planned token migration in the fourth quarter.
