A CoinGape technical analysis identifies $1.18 as a key XRP level ahead of the Nov. 3 U.S. midterm election, with separate price scenarios tied to whether the support holds.
In its Oct. 14 analysis, market analyst Muthoni Mary said a break below $1.18 could put $0.99 in view. A recovery toward $2 depended on XRP staying above its 200-day exponential moving average and building momentum past its 50-day average. Mary presented those targets as possibilities tied to the technical conditions.
CoinGape framed its analysis against crypto declines around the previous three U.S. midterm elections, but dated snapshots from CoinMarketCap show a mixed record for XRP. The snapshots put XRP at $0.004671 on Nov. 1, 2014, and $0.01121 on Nov. 30. In 2018, the corresponding prices were $0.4557 and $0.3625; in 2022, they were $0.4646 and $0.4087.
Those two observations per month do not show the full trading path, and CoinMarketCap’s snapshots do not specify a time zone. They also cannot rule out a decline from a higher point within the 2018 or 2022 months. The 2014 figures, however, do not fit a blanket claim that XRP fell in all three periods.
CoinGape, citing SoSoValue, separately reported $12.09 million in XRP exchange-traded fund inflows for October to date, compared with $121 million in September.
The Federal Election Commission lists Nov. 3, 2026, as the end date for the 2026 House and Senate election cycles.
