An Oct. 17 report listed $25.34 million in nearby Coinbase spot Bitcoin (BTC) sell orders against $18.11 million in buys, while its stated $7.24 million sell-side lead is $0.01 million above the difference between those totals.
The stated lead was 16.66% of combined depth. Subtracting the displayed $18.11 million in bids from $25.34 million in asks gives $7.23 million, leaving the report’s figure $0.01 million higher.
A 61.22 BTC ask carried a listed price of $81,887 and a calculated value near $5.01 million. Its listed price stood about 0.39% above the snapshot’s $81,566 midpoint. The $5.01 million amount applies to that offer alone; the $25.34 million total covers nearby sell orders.
The report describes a point-in-time view of Coinbase orders. Coinbase documentation says its public product-book endpoint returns bids, asks and a time field, but does not confirm this particular Oct. 17 reading. Bids are buy orders and asks are sell orders; the displayed values compare posted orders, not completed trades.
