Coinbase has opened address creation for Axis Labs (AXIS) in supported regions, allowing customers to prepare for deposits that cannot begin until the token issuer enables transfers.

Eligible customers can create an AXIS address on Coinbase’s website or mobile app, or through Coinbase Exchange, the company said in its deposit notice. The address gives them a destination for a later transfer. It does not mean Coinbase can accept AXIS deposits now.

The issuer’s decision to enable transfers is the next step required for deposits. Until then, customers can prepare an address but cannot move the token into their exchange accounts. Coinbase’s notice does not give a date for the transfer unlock.

Coinbase’s general listing policy requires market-making support and sufficient technical infrastructure before trading begins, with any launch announced separately.
