Coinbase resolved a crypto-conversion issue involving Brazilian real (BRL) at 11:50 a.m. ET Monday, after warning that some users might be unable to use BRL to buy or sell crypto.

The Oct. 26 notices did not say whether the problem touched Coinbase Advanced’s direct BRL-to-USD Coin (USDC) trading option. Coinbase introduced the service for customers in Brazil on Aug. 19 and said it would cut USDC purchase costs by 85%.

The first status entry came at 10:46 a.m. ET (14:46 UTC). At 10:56 a.m. ET (14:56 UTC), Coinbase reported that a remedy had been applied and said it was checking the outcome. Resolution came at 11:50 a.m. ET (15:50 UTC), 64 minutes after Coinbase's initial status post.

The notices did not identify when the interruption started, what caused it or how many users were affected. They also omitted the specific assets, trading pairs and conversion routes involved.
