Coinbase shares rose about 1.4% on Oct. 20 but remained below their Oct. 16 close, with third-quarter results due Oct. 29 and a separate Binance derivative trading after hours.
ChartExchange historical data put the stock at $170.83 when regular U.S. trading ended at 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC). Its Oct. 16 closing price was $173.16, also documented in earlier EconoTimes coverage of Coinbase and Circle shares.
At 5:20 p.m. ET (21:20 UTC), Binance’s COINUSDT perpetual contract carried a mark price of 172.132 Tether (USDT). That reading came 80 minutes after the share close. Binance describes stock perpetuals as continuously traded derivatives that do not convey share ownership. The contract’s mark represents a separate price reading, rather than a later close for Coinbase stock.
Coinbase has scheduled publication of its third-quarter 2026 results for after the Oct. 29 U.S. market close, the company announced.
