Coincapital, the subsidiary of Coinsquare which is the investment fund and portfolio management division, released the two ETFs on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) this morning, that comprises of the Coincapital STOXX Blockchain Patents Innovation Index Fund and the Coincapital STOXX B.R.AI.N. Index Fund (THNK).
The subsidiary launched two ETFs, one of which tracks companies that use blockchain, the first ETF is LDGR that tracks and invests in global equity securities companies that in-turn invests on the R&D of blockchain. Furthermore, the fund, that capitalizes on artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to identify and prefer pertinent companies.
While the latter one, THNK banks on ventures in the gamut of biotechnology, robotics, artificial intelligence, and nanotechnology, which Coincapital abbreviates as B.R.AI.N segment. The predominant criteria of these ETF funds are that a company must generate 50 percent of revenues from the aggregate of these sectors.
“Canadians know technologies like AI and the blockchain are going to change the way we live and work, but it can be difficult to access high quality investments in these sectors without deep domain expertise,”mentioned the CEO Lewis Bateman. “We’re doing the work for investors, using our in-depth industry knowledge to provide Canadians with an innovative suite of investment options that help them invest in new technology even if they’re not an expert,”he further extended.
