Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited reported a 4.3% rise in quarterly profit and increased advertising outlays as it posted double-digit sales growth and declared an interim dividend for FY27.

Net profit reached Rs 341.57 crore for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2026, compared with Rs 327.51 crore in the year-earlier quarter. The board approved the unaudited results on Oct. 22, 2026; they are subject to a limited review. The company also said profit after tax grew 5.5% after excluding one-off items, including one tied to the inverted duty structure following goods and services tax changes.

Net sales, reported after goods and services tax, rose 12.22% to Rs 1,691.57 crore from Rs 1,507.24 crore. The results filing listed revenue from operations separately at Rs 1,705.79 crore, including Rs 14.22 crore in other operating income.

Total expenses climbed 16% to Rs 1,267.28 crore. Advertising expense increased to Rs 314.82 crore from Rs 225.10 crore a year earlier. Despite the higher outlay, gross margin widened 40 basis points to 69.6%. The company attributed the improvement to its “Funding the Growth” program and said it had stepped up spending on brand building and premium products.

Managing Director and CEO Manish Anandani said the company had recorded double-digit growth for a second straight quarter, with gains across brands and distribution channels. He said the toothpaste portfolio posted high-single-digit volume growth, with contributions from the premium range and Colgate MaxFresh. Anandani also said the company was using cost savings and calibrated pricing to manage commodity-cost fluctuations.

The board declared a first interim dividend of Rs 24 for each share with a face value of Rs 1, for a total payout of Rs 653 crore. The record date is Nov. 2, 2026, and payment is scheduled to start Nov. 19.
