Consensys introduced its Sovereign Network Interoperability capability to let financial institutions settle financial transactions across separate ledgers without using bridges or moving assets outside those ledgers.

The capability targets institutional use involving securities, foreign exchange and collateral. Speakers at a Devcon 2026 session in Mumbai on Wednesday, Nov. 4, are due to explain how institutions can complete settlement across ledgers in one atomic transaction.

Consensys and ClearToken are also planning an around-the-clock service to settle tokenized securities and cash. The plan assigns interoperability and tokenization work to Consensys, with ClearToken responsible for regulated settlement infrastructure. The initiative remains in the planning stage.
