Copay, the open source, HD‑multisignature wallet from BitPay, now has a new option for its users to buy and sell bitcoin through its integration with Coinbase in the version 1.10.1 of the app.
Matias Alejo Garcia, Director of Development Argentina, Copay Factotum, made the announcement in a blog post.
BitPay announced the addition of an integrated bitcoin exchange feature in its bitcoin wallet Copay in October last year. It worked with bitcoin exchange Glidera to allow Copay users in 11 US states to buy or sell bitcoin within the app.
Garcia said that Coinbase integration in Copay will simplify buying and selling bitcoin directly from the wallet. It is available in all US states, Canada, and the 30 other countries supported by Coinbase's buy and sell service, at limits of up to $1,000 per day.
“Since its launch in 2011, Coinbase has been one of the most reliable services for buying and selling bitcoin. Coinbase allows users to hold bitcoin, sell it, or purchase it with debit cards, bank accounts, or credit cards”, Garcia said.
To get started, users need to open the Copay app and follow an easy flow to connect the wallet to an existing Coinbase accounts. If users don't have a Coinbase account yet, they can sign up here.
“If you already use Coinbase but are looking for a secure everyday bitcoin wallet, we hope you'll give Copay a try on your favorite device or desktop platform”, Garcia added.
