Crowdfunding Project to Raise Funds For The Late Merle Haggard's Lifesize Sculpture Will Be Launched On Indiegogo

CLEBURNE, Texas, April 13, 2018 -- Edward Miracle of Miracle's Art, who is known for his globally iconic artworks like one of his paintings, "I Told You So", and his very popular sculpture "El Pollo Bandito", paid a tribute to the late Merle Haggard by building a life-sized sculpture of him. Miracle has been perfecting his skills for over five decades. He is also the official artist of a royal family in the United Arab Emirates for over a dozen years.

Famous country music songwriter and singer Merle Haggard passed away last April 6, 2016 on his 79th birthday. Merle Haggard left behind a lot of treasurable songs which were written and sang by him and other famous country musicians such as Kris Kristofferson, who sang the hit "From Here To The Moon and Back"; Willie Nelson, who wrote and sang the hit "Always on My Mind"; Waylon Jennings, known for his "The Lost Outlaw Performance"; and many dozens of big names in the music industry.

Upon hearing the news of Merle’s passing, he knew he had to do something spectacular in honor of Merle’s memory. Miracle had his manager contact the Haggard family for permission to create a life-sized, museum-quality bronze sculpture of Merle.

Miracle has completed the clay portion of the sculpture depicting Merle on horseback. The sculpture is 10’ long x 30” deep x 8’ high and will weigh approximately 800+ lbs. when cast into bronze. Miracle is reaching out through an Indiegogo fundraising program to help him complete the statue of the late Merle Haggard.

Merle Haggard's music has captured the hearts and souls of millions of fans around the world. His passing will leave a very large vacuum in the heart of millions of devoted fans.
