At 7:37 p.m. ET Nov. 1 (00:37 UTC Nov. 2), Alternative.me showed a live Crypto Fear & Greed Index score of 37; its Nov. 1 daily score was 34, with both labeled fear.

The live score was three points above the previous reading. The index ranges from zero, which marks extreme fear, to 100, which marks extreme greed. At 37, it was 12 points above the boundary below which the index labels conditions extreme fear.

Alternative.me says its calculation uses Bitcoin (BTC) volatility, market momentum and volume, social media activity, market dominance and search trends. The survey component is paused.

An earlier EconoTimes update said the gauge fell 21 points to 30 on Oct. 30, after a score of 51 on Oct. 29. The Oct. 30 reading was the lowest since August, but remained above the extreme-fear threshold of below 25.
