Long positions accounted for $853 million of crypto liquidations in a 24-hour tally totaling about $929.7 million, putting most of the reported closures on trades positioned for rising prices.

The tally counted 174,915 traders. Short positions, which benefit from falling prices, made up $76.67 million. The long side represented about 92% of the reported total, more than 11 times the short-side value.

Binance’s BTCUSDT market recorded the largest individual liquidation, a Bitcoin (BTC) position worth $12.03 million. It amounted to roughly 1.3% of the overall tally. CoinGlass describes liquidation as an exchange forcing a leveraged trade to close when its margin falls below the required threshold.

A separate CoinGlass 24-hour tally cited in EconoTimes’ earlier coverage recorded $948.22 million across 177,440 traders. Long liquidations in that reading totaled $858.96 million, or 90.6%.
