Decentral, a leading hub for disruptive and decentralized technologies based in Canada, has announced that multicurrency wallet Jaxx will soon add support for Dash.
CEO and co-founder Anthony di Iorio made the announcement in a Reddit post. He said:
“Our team has been extensively researching the Dash ecosystem and are super excited to be joining your community.
For those of you who don't know, Dash will soon be integrated in Jaxx, our multi-token, multi-platform blockchain wallet. We've been working with some of the Dash dev team over the past while and expect to launch in the coming week. Finger's crossed!
Our goal with Jaxx is to create an interface to blockchain for the masses. Kinda like what the browser did for the internet.”
In a recent interview Di Iorio said that there has been an influx of coins that want to be in Jaxx wallet. In addition to Dash, he said that the team is working with RootStock and ZCash. He said:
“Dash was the most resounding community request, that’s why we’re putting that in next”.
In June, Di Iorio announced that the public opinion on which tokens they’d like to see integrated into Jaxx next centered on Dash. He had suggested a multi-stage integration, starting with a relatively “no-frills” Dash wallet for managing DSH tokens, and incorporating Dash’s unique features afterwards.
Dash is currently the seventh largest cryptocurrency with market capitalization approximately $68 million. It is the fourth cryptocurrency to be added to Jaxx, which already supports bitcoin, Ether and TheDAO tokens.
