Curtiss-Wright Corporation secured contracts valued at more than $225 million to provide equipment for U.S. Navy submarine and aircraft carrier programs, supporting shipbuilding and fleet upkeep, the company said Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. awarded the work. The package spans Virginia-class attack submarines, Columbia-class submarines and Ford-class aircraft carriers, with propulsion valves, pumps and instrumentation and control systems.

Curtiss-Wright said the work will contribute to shipbuilding and upkeep across the Navy’s fleet. Engineering, manufacturing and testing are already underway, with those activities expected to continue through 2030.

Curtiss-Wright linked its position to continued funding for naval shipbuilding and faster production. It also said its relationship with the U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program spans more than 60 years.
