Night City Wire has done its job of keeping the hype up for “Cyberpunk 2077,” but a welcome bonus was the unveiling of two non-playable characters named Evelyn Parker and Judy Alvarez. Online discussions prove their brief appearances were some of the highlights of the virtual event. Luckily, CD Projekt Red is not waiting until the game’s release to reveal more about them.
‘Cyberpunk 2077’: Evelyn Parker’s and Judy Alvarez’s roles
The 25-minute opening episode of Night City Wire in June was filled with new information and gameplay previews. CD Projekt Red unveiled the latest trailer “The Gig” that gave fans an idea of V’s mission in “Cyberpunk 2077’s” prologue. Evelyn Parker appears in the trailer for one second, but the developers later revealed more about her backstory.
Evelyn Parker’s intelligence and ambition drives her to demand more from life. Her goal of becoming a professional actress, and her rational head for the biz, led her to a job at the Doll House, but this stepping stone in her career quickly became something much more permanent. pic.twitter.com/CjGgSWU68A

Developers described Evelyn in a tweet as an ambitious woman wanting to be an actress. She was supposed to just use Doll House as a career stepping stone; however, it became a permanent aspect of her life. The angle at which Evelyn is shown in the latest trailer suggests that V is going to meet with her at one point in the prologue. Evelyn is likely to have a key role in V’s first missions.
The Night City Wire also offered a glimpse of the braindance technology that is now expected to be a significant gameplay feature in “Cyberpunk 2077.” It will allow V to relive someone else’s experience and memories, which should come in handy for his upcoming missions. This is where Judy Alvarez’s role in the game is revealed, as she will be known as a braindance expert and editor. In an earlier tweet, CD Projekt Red confirmed that Judy would lend her expertise to The Mox “to change things for the better.”
Judy Alvarez is Night City’s premier braindance technician, heavily respected for her skills, innovation and creativity. Motivated to change things for the better she teamed with The Mox and currently works for them as a BD technician and editor. pic.twitter.com/m0AhKu1F46

‘Cyberpunk 2077’ gameplay: Are Judy and Evelyn romance options?
At this point, it is clear that both Evelyn and Judy will be important NPCs in “Cyberpunk 2077.” But some fans just cannot resist asking if these characters could be potential romance interests for V.
Developers have yet to provide more information about V’s romance options, but it is one thing that fans find very interesting just based on how they are reacting to Evelyn and Judy’s introduction. So far, it has been confirmed that male and female V can have same-sex and heterosexual relationships in “Cyberpunk 2077.” But it does not mean V can be with anyone they want because NPCs will have their own gender preferences. The game will be released on Nov. 19.
