DBS, HSBC join MAS and OCBC Bank for Blockchain for Finance Conference 2017

The Blockchain for Finance Conference, Asia Pacific is scheduled to held in Singapore on June 20-21 and aims to provide the most up-to-date and relevant information around blockchain developments for the finance sector.

The conference agenda particularly revolves around four key areas: blockchain strategies, use case reviews, regulatory compliance, and technology challenges.

According to latest updates, DBS Bank and HSBC have joined the illustrious speaker rostrum and will join Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and OCBC Bank on a panel to provide a spotlight on some of Singapore’s blockchain initiatives and projects. The panel will:

  • Review the communal and in-house projects being undertaken by financial institutions in Singapore to see how this technology is likely to disrupt the current environment
     
  • Assess how blockchain can change the whole banking landscape and the difficulties that will need to be overcome to disrupt mindsets and legacy systems
     
  • Understand the importance of education around distributed ledger architecture and how companies must adapt and be open to change

The two-day event will also feature speakers from MUFG, BNY Mellon, Deutsche Bank, London Stock Exchange Group, Japan Exchange Group, Standards Australia, and Federal Financial Supervisory Authority among others.

In addition, representatives from digital currency and blockchain startups are also expected to be in attendance. This includes Gatecoin, Dragonfly Fintech, Keychain, R3, Satoshi Studios, and others.
