In the United States, NFIB index for November and JOLTS Job Opening will be in focus. The NFIB index is expected to confirm a modest improvement in activity in the small business sector for November, argues Lloyds Bank.
U.K. industrial production data is scheduled to release today. The figure will give indication of the strength of the strength of economic activity in Q4. The industrial production in Q3 posted a marginal growth rate of 0.2%.
"Looking ahead, October's manufacturing PMI posted an unexpectedly sharp pickup. However, this was not confirmed by other survey indicators and the PMI slipped back in November. We expect manufacturing output to give up some of its recent gains, and look for a 0.3% fall in October, along with a similar fall in overall production", estimates Lloyds Bank.
In addition, euro area trade balance and second estimate of Q3 GDP figures are due today. The Q3 GDP is expected to remain same to the initial output with a 0.3% increase.
