David Schwartz, Ripple’s CTO emeritus, said he serves on the company’s board and meets his former team twice each month, describing an ongoing connection to the blockchain company.
In a Nov. 3 post on X, Schwartz said he sometimes arrives at Ripple offices without arranging the visit first. He gave no explanation of his board duties or the subjects he discusses with former colleagues.
Schwartz helped design the XRP Ledger in its early days.
The ledger has more than 150 validators, while its default Unique Node List (UNL) contains more than 35. A July 2023 count placed one Ripple-operated validator on that list.
The Nov. 1 count was the largest in a series that began Sept. 26, but it does not identify how many people are behind the addresses.
