Golfer Bryson DeChambeau did not name a future tour in a Nov. 8 post as LIV Golf said its proposed recapitalization with BC Partners was not expected to proceed at this time.

DeChambeau said he had made a decision he believed in and would approach what comes next with “humility and respect.” He did not discuss longer-term plans in the post.

The Nedbank Golf Challenge lists DeChambeau among its confirmed players for Dec. 3-6, 2026, at Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa. It is his next listed tournament.

LIV said its restructuring support agreement with BC Partners ended after the parties failed to agree on outstanding terms. The league said the court-approved schedule in its Chapter 11 case would guide an orderly wind-down as it reviews proposals from other parties. EconoTimes previously covered LIV’s wind-down plan.

Board Special Committee members Gene Davis and Jon Zinman called the wind-down “the most responsible path forward.” The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey lists an omnibus hearing in LIV’s case for Dec. 3 at 11:30 a.m. ET.
