Decibel Cannabis Company Inc. said Friday it will place Chief Revenue Officer Adam Coates’ largely domestic commercial remit within its current leadership structure after he resigned.

The announcement also calls for the commercial team to be aligned with Decibel’s domestic and international business units. The company did not give an effective date for Coates’ resignation, name a successor or explain its reason. It also did not say how current leaders would divide the duties.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Decibel reported domestic sales growth of 6% and international sales growth of 72% compared with a year earlier. The company did not link the results to the leadership change.

Benjamin Sze, Decibel’s chief executive officer, credited Coates with building the company’s in-house sales team and beginning its international brand launches. Sze also praised Coates’ work on General Admission, saying, “Adam built General Admission into one of Canada’s top cannabis brands.”
