SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Aug. 01, 2017 -- Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:DFRG) today announced plans for new Double Eagle Steak Houses in Boston and Atlanta and a Del Frisco’s Grille in Philadelphia, all slated to open in 2018.
“We are excited to continue the growth of our portfolio and expand the reach of our brands with the announcement of these three new restaurants,” said Norman J. Abdallah, CEO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. “In Boston, our team has established Del Frisco’s Double Eagle as the premier steakhouse on the Seaport, and our new Back Bay location gives us the opportunity to share the exceptional service, award-winning wine list and premium steaks, for which we are known, with an entirely new area of the city. We’re also announcing our first Double Eagle in Atlanta which will feature the same big and bold design of our current Double Eagles but in a smaller, more efficient footprint. Finally, we’ve developed plans for a new Del Frisco’s Grille in Philadelphia. This fantastic downtown location will be the perfect complement to our Double Eagle and will quickly become the hot spot for dining, drinks and socializing. Thanks to Carmen and his team, Philadelphia has always been one of our best performing restaurants and I expect this new Grille to follow in their footsteps.”
The new Del Frisco’s Double Eagle in Boston will be located on the ground floor of the Prudential Center in the Back Bay. The 17,603 square foot restaurant will be designed by Aria Groups Architects and feature dramatic storefront windows, warm wood finishes with stone accents, and pewter and copper metals. The one-story restaurant fronting Boylston with connectivity to the Hynes Convention Center and Copley Place will offer interior seating for 450 and patio seating for 32. The sophisticated and elegant location will also showcase extensive wine displays including a unique and intimate private dining room surrounded by walls of wine adjacent to a large walk in wine cellar, perfect for meeting and special occasions.
The new Atlanta Double Eagle Steak House will be located in the new Park Center mixed use development in Dunwoody, at the corner of Hammond Drive and Perimeter Center Parkway. The 10,090 square foot restaurant will be designed by The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry and feature dramatic storefront windows, soaring ceiling heights and a large, curving mezzanine, which exudes a contemporary feel with a mix of wood, metal, stone and glass finishes. The location will offer interior seating for 300 and patio seating for 144, including two private dining rooms that accommodate both intimate and large gatherings. It will also feature three bars – one in the main dining area, one on the mezzanine and one on the patio, with the option to open the custom designed wall between the main dining and patio bars. Other features include a soaring wine wall ascending to the ceiling and housing several thousand bottles of wine.
The new Del Frisco’s Grille in Philadelphia will be located in a new mixed use building anchored by the Cambria Suites hotel in City Center. The 7,260 square foot space occupies a prime position at the corner of Broad and Locust, and is conveniently located near the Convention Center, Kimmel Center for Performing Arts and the city’s best hotels and retail shops. The restaurant will offer seating for 230 in the main dining area, with a private dining room to accommodate special occasions and celebrations for up to 35 people, as well as patio seating for 30 fronting Broad Street. There will be an extensive selection of wines in custom designed displays throughout the dining area and the space will highlight the high ceilings, expansive storefront windows, and a prominently positioned curved bar to create a modern, elevated and vibrant feel.
With the introduction of these three restaurants, Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group is on track to deliver against the growth plans identified earlier this year. Abdallah added, “Our continued growth enables us to support all three pillars of DFRG’s purpose: our team, our guests, and our shareholders. I look forward to building upon this development plan in the coming year.”
