REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 30, 2017 -- Delphix, the company that has changed the dynamics of managing and consuming data, today announced integration of the Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) into its core platform. Enterprises can now look to the Delphix Dynamic Data Platform (DDDP) to quickly and securely manage data for workloads running on Amazon RDS, in addition to workloads running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and other cloud solutions.
Delphix is bringing a new dimension to Amazon RDS through new self-service capabilities and the ability to copy, refresh and rewind data automatically. The combination of the Delphix DataOps platform and Amazon RDS will help enterprises quickly and securely move and manage data on the cloud and accelerate application development times. This initial release supports Oracle DB on Amazon RDS, with additional data sources to come.
As customers increasingly adopt cloud services, they gain operational efficiency and flexibility from infrastructure elasticity. However, one of the bottlenecks they run into is management of large amounts of data in cloud environments - especially for non-production workloads. Delphix is partnering with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to address this problem.
Delphix integrates with the AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), which uses logical replication to continuously replicate data to or from Amazon RDS and Amazon EC2 instances. The DDDP with easy-to-use developer workflows, integrated masking, and lightweight data pods also contributes to massive reductions in storage costs.
“Amazon RDS plays a pivotal role in driving widespread adoption of the cloud and we are thrilled to deepen our relationship to help further this effort,” said Chris Cook, CEO of Delphix. “The combination of the Delphix solution with Amazon RDS is designed to help enterprises automate mundane, manual tasks to boost application development and deliver continuous innovation for customers.”
The Delphix Dynamic Data Platform is available on AWS Marketplace or as an AMI through Delphix.
