A derivatives account that entered a BRENTOIL long worth about $9.985 million on Oct. 16 opened a Zcash (ZEC) short worth about $5.6 million on Oct. 19.

The 5,000 ZEC short was opened during a window running from 10:24 to 10:33 a.m. ET (14:24 to 14:33 UTC). A 10:36 a.m. ET (14:36 UTC) snapshot put the still-open position at about $5.6 million.

The address associated with both trades is 0xbf732ea04197942783e34730ed6e0f6099575d58. The account's cumulative contract profits exceeded $20 million. That tally covers its trading history; it is not a reported return on the ZEC short. Short positions generally benefit when an asset's price falls, while long positions generally benefit when it rises.

On Oct. 16, the BRENTOIL entry took place from 12:51 to 12:59 p.m. ET (16:51 to 16:59 UTC). The 1:02 p.m. ET (17:02 UTC) snapshot put its value at about $9.985 million.
