A 6 a.m. ET Nov. 2 snapshot showed Dogecoin (DOGE) led five tracked crypto futures markets with a 2.43% 24-hour rise in open interest, while Bitcoin (BTC) had the sharpest decline.
DOGE open interest reached $197.2 million. Its funding rate was 0.0100% per eight-hour period, matching Solana (SOL) and XRP; the positive rate put settlement payments on traders holding long positions, with short-position holders receiving them.
BTC open interest declined 2.10% to $7.46 billion. Ether (ETH) fell 0.42% to $5.39 billion, while SOL rose 0.37% to $867.3 million and XRP advanced 1.77% to $350.6 million.
The long side represented 71.6% of DOGE accounts, 67.9% of BTC accounts, 70.4% of ETH accounts, 76.6% of SOL accounts and 71.6% of XRP accounts. These percentages show the split of accounts by direction; they do not indicate each trader’s position size.
An earlier EconoTimes five-asset futures snapshot showed open interest rising for Bitcoin and Solana while it declined for the other three assets. Open interest records the value of active derivatives contracts, but a change in the total alone does not show whether traders expected prices to rise or fall.
