Dogecoin (DOGE) is showing signs of recovery after last week's sharp decline, with its price hovering around $0.0845. However, despite renewed buying interest near a crucial support level, technical indicators suggest the popular meme cryptocurrency still faces significant resistance before establishing a sustained bullish trend.
The latest Dogecoin price action shows a green daily candlestick with a long lower wick extending to $0.0800. This suggests buyers stepped in to defend the psychologically important support level, helping DOGE recover approximately 5% from its recent low.
The immediate support for Dogecoin remains at $0.0800, followed by $0.0780, which marked its September low. Maintaining these levels could help stabilize the cryptocurrency following its recent selling pressure.
However, several moving averages continue to challenge DOGE's recovery. The cryptocurrency currently trades below its 100-day moving average at $0.0862, its 50-day average at $0.0877, and its 20-day average near $0.0890.
Meanwhile, the 200-day moving average around $0.0928 represents another major resistance level. Dogecoin previously struggled to maintain momentum above this threshold in late September, triggering a prolonged downward movement.
Technical indicators also highlight lingering bearish pressure. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains below 50, signaling weak buying momentum. Additionally, relatively modest trading volume during the latest rebound suggests investors remain cautious.
For Dogecoin bulls, a daily closing price above $0.0862 would provide an initial indication of strengthening demand. A further breakout beyond $0.0890 could open the door for a potential rally toward $0.0928.
If DOGE successfully clears that resistance, the next upside targets would emerge between $0.0960 and the psychologically significant $0.1000 level.
Conversely, failure to maintain support at $0.0800 could invalidate the current recovery attempt. A breakdown below $0.0780 would increase the likelihood of additional losses toward $0.0700, a price region previously observed during July and August.
For now, the Dogecoin price outlook remains cautious. Although buyers have successfully defended the $0.08 support zone, DOGE must overcome multiple technical resistance levels and attract stronger trading volume before confirming a meaningful bullish reversal.
