Elbit Systems won about $200 million in aircraft contracts from an unnamed Asia-Pacific country, adding helicopter surveillance equipment and training-system work to a deal scheduled to run for up to five years.

The Israeli defense company said Monday that the package includes its SPECTRO 12 surveillance and targeting payload for helicopters. Elbit says the system combines multispectral imaging, a laser designator and AI-based image processing. The contracts also cover head-up displays for day and night operations.

Aircraft already fitted with Elbit airborne live-training systems will receive upgrades and continued support under the awards. Elbit says the systems can simulate air-to-air and air-to-ground engagements, assess weapons use and support mission debriefings.

Elbit did not identify the country or aircraft models, say how many systems are involved, or provide separate values for the contract components. The company also gave no payment schedule or delivery milestones.

Elbit reported a $32 billion order backlog as of June 30 and second-quarter revenue of about $2.3 billion in results filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. On Sept. 1, it announced contracts valued at about $270 million for surveillance and targeting payloads for an unnamed international customer.
