Emirates SkyCargo has launched a service for artificial-intelligence equipment, adding priority handling and shipment tracking as it prepares to expand its dedicated freighter fleet to 23 aircraft by March 2027.
AI Tech can carry semiconductors, graphics processing units (GPUs), server racks and related computing equipment, the airline said. Participating shipments will receive priority loading and specialized handling, while the carrier tracks cargo through its Dubai command center. Customers can get updates between departure and arrival airports.
The airline says its procedures aim to keep equipment in the required position during transit and limit damage. Specialist support is available for oversized freight; some server racks weigh more than 3.5 tonnes. Emirates SkyCargo will assess airport facilities in advance for specialized manufacturing machinery.
Badr Abbas, the airline’s divisional senior vice president, said Emirates SkyCargo moved more than 700 tonnes of AI infrastructure across its network in July and that “demand has continued to grow.” Most AI-related equipment can be shipped through the carrier’s network. Cargo space on its wide-body passenger aircraft will also support the service.
