LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga., Oct. 12, 2016 -- Encompass Supply Chain Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of 3PL and 4PL solutions for a diverse range of finished goods and replacement parts, today announced it will maintain strong parts support for the Sharp brand in the wake of Hisense acquiring the Sharp brand.
Encompass has been a long-time distributor of Sharp replacement parts to major retailers, rent-to-own businesses and repair service businesses. In July 2015, Hisense and Sharp announced that Hisense will be purchasing all equity and assets of Sharp's TV factory in Mexico, with rights to use the Sharp brand name and all its channel resources in both the North and South American regions.
Sharp is the latest in a long line of other television manufacturers to enter into licensing agreements.
“As the consumer electronics industry continues consolidating, Encompass is more than capable of adapting to changing conditions to deliver the strong aftersales support needed to maintain manufacturer brand loyalty,” said Joe Hurley, Encompass senior vice president of Business Development. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to continue supplying parts for one of the most renowned consumer electronics brands in the world.”
Hurley added that ensuring efficient, responsive aftermarket service is key to retaining brand strength.
“As long as manufacturers – along with parts suppliers, warranty claims administrators and service networks – execute as team to continue providing reliable product support, it shouldn’t matter what’s behind the manufacturing curtain,” said Hurley. “With strong backing, the brand will have a much better chance to retain its quality status in the minds of consumers.”
