Episode Six's Verified Backing feature became available Oct. 15 for supported stablecoins and tokenized deposits issued through the E6 Token Control Ledger.

Before creating a token, the system looks for a corresponding funds record in the issuer-side ledger. During redemption, it reviews the token's certificate and checks whether the issuance is still outstanding before the bank releases funds.

The ledger review shows what was recorded, but it cannot establish whether an issuer has assets matching a token.

Verified Backing neither holds reserve assets nor verifies that they exist. Using the feature does not replace an issuer's reserve, attestation, audit or regulatory duties. Availability and functions can differ by market and customer setup.
