As it currently stands, the Press Play Series is a collection of five short videos that explain various investment related concepts in a simplistic and analogous manner. “We’re always in search of opportunities to bring additional value to our investors,” said Equinox Funds Marketing Director, Corey Keating. “As a team, we sat down and attempted to identify areas within the industry that could use some extra attention. We found that many Advisors over the years have been relied upon to explain or teach their client base about the industry…and that collectively we as asset managers may have taken this for granted. We simply saw this as an opportunity to step up and lend a hand.”
The most popular of the Press Play videos, which focuses on investor behavior and common cognitive biases, is approaching 50,000 views alone. “We had an idea that one was going to be a favorite,” added Mr. Keating, “it’s written in such a way that allows real people to relate to it, it’s very familiar to many of us.”
Mr. Keating went on to explain that the team is currently working on two additional videos to add to their library and that they welcome ideas from Advisors as they write on scripts going forward.
