Equity snapshot (indices)

Equities are heavy gainer so far in today's trading as liquidity came back after Easter today. Performance this week at a glance in chart & table -

S&P 500 -

• US benchmark is trading in green today might be going to test the upper bound of the range over next few days. Index has bounced back from 2050 level and broken above resistance around 2080 area.
  
  
• Redbook index grew another 1.3% as of April 3 mom and 3.4% YoY.
  
  
• TIPP optimism rose to 51.3 from prior 49.1.
  
  
• Job openings in US remains high at 5.133 million as measured by JOLTS, up from prior 4.965 million.
  
  
• SPX500 is currently trading at 2089, up 0.5% for the day. Immediate support lies at 1980, 2040 and resistance 2120, 2164.

FTSE -

• FTSE has gained lost grounds after Easter. FTSE so far successfully jumped back from support area.
  
• UK services PMI improved to 58.9 from 56.7 prior.
  
  
• FTSE is currently trading at 6965, up 2% today. Immediate support lies at 6700 and resistance at 9665 and 7060.                

DAX -

• DAX is trading in green after Easter holiday. Growth comeback in Europe has buoyed mood of investors.
  
  
• Markit Services and Composite PMI both registered gains. Came at 55.4 compared to prior 55.3.
  
  
• Index is trading at 12148, up near 1.5% today. Immediate support lies at 11830, 11750, 11 and resistance at 12200.

EuroStxx50 -

• Stocks across Europe are all green today as Markit PMI indicated return of growth across region.

• Spanish Services PMI came at 57.3, up from flash 56.2.

• Italy services PMI registered 51.6, up from flash 50

• French services PMI came at 52.4, lower than flash estimate.

• Germany is up (+1.5%), France's CAC40 is up (+1.73%), Italy's FTSE MIB is up (+1.75%) and Spain's IBEX is up (+1.07%).

• EuroStxx50 is currently trading at 3775, up 1.5% today. Bias is upwards. Support lies at 3635, 3545.

Nikkei -

• Nikkei has once again bounced back support and stretched gains in today's trading. Tomorrow's policy decision by BOJ, might provide direction.
  
  
• Nikkei is currently trading at 19778. Immediate support lies at 19000, 18540 and resistance at 19920.
