Major exchange addresses held about 297,000 fewer Ether (ETH) at the Nov. 2 close than at Oct. 28, while the asset’s exchange-held share of supply also contracted.

The combined address balance was about 297,000 ETH lower at the later snapshot, a 5.4% drop over the period. ETH on trading platforms accounted for 3.20% of total supply on Nov. 2, compared with 3.56% on Oct. 28.

The Oct. 29 snapshot made up more than half of the period’s decline in exchange-held supply share. Binance’s security breach also took place that day: its hot wallets lost about 200,630 ETH, while major exchange addresses added roughly 39,000 ETH. EconoTimes previously covered Ether’s price reaction after the Binance breach.

During Nov. 1-2, combined balances across those addresses declined by about 313,000 ETH as withdrawals resumed on platforms.

Those combined totals alone do not show whether the Ether went to cold wallets or moved to other exchanges.
