Between 2:35 p.m. and 3:35 p.m. ET (18:35–19:35 UTC) Sunday, Oct. 18, the three exchanges logged $32.96 million in forced closures, with long positions driving 96% of the total.

Long liquidations reached $31.65 million; shorts totaled $1.31 million. The snapshot covered 7,491 events and used public data from Binance, Bybit and OKX.

The venue split was $22.15 million at Binance, $6.62 million at OKX and $4.18 million at Bybit. The count covers those exchanges only, not liquidation activity across the entire crypto market.

Ether (ETH) was the largest asset in the tally, at $8.61 million. Zcash (ZEC) and Bitcoin (BTC) followed at $2.49 million and $2.48 million, respectively. Long positions generally benefit when prices rise, while short positions benefit from declines.

EconoTimes' Oct. 15 one-hour tally recorded $49.33 million in total liquidations, including $46.40 million from long positions.
